Who we are
OffMarketIntel Ltd ("we", "us") is a UK deal origination firm. We research UK companies and introduce acquisition opportunities to our clients. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@offmarketintel.co.uk.
The information we hold
We hold two kinds of personal information.
- People connected to UK companies. Names, roles, shareholdings and business contact details of directors, shareholders and senior people at UK companies, together with information about those companies such as filed accounts, filing history and press coverage. This comes from public records (Companies House, The Gazette, Registry Trust), company websites, trade press and licensed business data providers.
- People who contact us. Your name, contact details and the contents of your message.
How we use it and why we are allowed to
We use this information to research UK companies and their owners, to identify businesses that may match a client's acquisition criteria, and to contact people in their business capacity by phone, email or post about buying or selling a business. We also use it to respond to enquiries.
Our legal basis is legitimate interests: connecting business owners and acquirers is our business, we only contact people about their business roles, and you can object at any time. If you tell us to stop contacting you, we stop.
Who we share it with
We share information about you with a client only where it is relevant to a specific introduction, and normally only after we have spoken with you. We use service providers to host our data and run our systems, under contract. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep information only while it is relevant to our work. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep the minimum needed on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it at all. Email hello@offmarketintel.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
